Recently I've been watching a lot of people I follow on twitter post photos for a January Photo-a-day contest. I had to look it up and see who created this fun challenge. Well, I came across Fat Mum Slim's blog and saw that Chantelle started these photo challenges I've been seeing on twitter.
I decided to start the February Photo-a-day challenge since I seem to take photos of the same things over and over again (kitties maybe?). I also want to do the Your Day in Photos challenge.
If you want to try out either of these challenges, these are the guidelines posted on Chantelle's blog:
Here's how to play:
1. Use the list above as inspiration and take a photo everyday. For example for number one on the list, 'your view today' you'd take a shot of whatever it is that you can see today. This would be a wider shot of your office space, where you went for a walk, or whatever it is that you can see!
2. Share on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, your blog or where ever it is you want to share. If you're sharing on Instagram or Twitter use the hashtag #FEBphotoaday so everyone can find them. There's a great community around the photo sharing, so do share!
3. Check out everyone else's pictures. I do it before I go to bed each night and it's so fun to see how different everyone's photos are. There are people from every corner of the world playing.
I plan on taking these photos with my digital camera and not via Instagram so instead of posting the photos daily I'm going to put them together and post them weekly on here.
Just choose a day (any day this year, next year or whenever you feel brave enough!) and take a photo every hour from wake to sleep. Let others see a glimpse into your life. Tag each photo with #mydayinphotos (if playing on Instagram or Twitter), or just share them on your blog or on your Facebook.
Again, I'm going to post all my photos together on here instead of posting them by the hour.
Besides these fun photo challenges, Chanetelle's blog is really fun and full of interesting recipes and motherly tidbits. It looks like I have another blog to follow.
